This is the sixth piece from the Medieval Apocalypse Art Studies series by SHA’ELL and FireSign Studios. Inspired by illuminated manuscript works of the middle ages, this unfolding body of work seeks to capture the unsettling imagery of ancient Christian apocalyptic illustrations.

Patron of the Destitute is inspired specifically by details from the Saint-Sever Beatus (11th century) and features the third horseman of the Apocalypse.
